Job Description: Though the view was absolutely fantastic, this client had a problem of once the house was built, there was no yard to speak of on all four sides, and limited access to the rear of the property. Although the block was massive, the rear rainforest area was not easily accessed to enjoy the tranquil beauty, as it is down an extremely steep incline.

In conference with the client TLC put together retaining walls both front and rear to extend the level yard area several metres in both directions. It was decided to expand the narrow alleyway to the left side of the house, and retain, place a rendered block wall to section off the front yard for privacy, standard timber fence to the right boundary, construct a staircase in keeping with the surrounds to allow access from the rear retained area to a pathway cut in a zigzag fashion down the mountain to both avoid damaging the existing trees and allow better and less strenuous walking access through the small forest.
