With the ever rising construction costs in conjunction with the
downturn in the economy, it became apparent that most property owners were
looking to lower their costs in regards to construction and or repairs. TLC decided to
scale down their business operations and follow a new direction and
purpose, that of assisting owner builders and performing small
subcontract works only to private customers, owner builders and other
builders/construction companies. To this end, TLC cancelled their
BSA license at the beginning of 2010 as it was no longer required.
This has created a reduction in operating overheads and hence reduced
costs. Although not for everyone, there are considerable savings to be
made by being an owner builder.
